Forgemonde
Forgemonde — a narrative grand strategy game, in a world that remembers your choices.
You lead a faction — a kingdom, a guild, a secret order, or a single character — through a living world that never forgets. Every decision becomes a chapter of the story, every betrayal leaves a grudge, every catastrophe enters the world's memory.
๐ An autonomous world — Factions, characters and great powers pursue their own ambitions, with or without you. Characters forge alliances, plot betrayals, nurse grudges… and they remember.
๐ A chronicle that becomes a novel — All your actions are woven into chapters, readable at any time and exportable as a novel page. Your playthrough becomes a book only your game could have written.
โ๏ธ An uncompromising canon — A "Canon Guard" checks consistency after every turn: the dead don't come back, exiles don't act in the open, debts aren't erased without reason. Lock your world's laws: the AI will never break them, even if you insist.
๐ฎ No signup, no cost, optional AI — A single HTML file, playable in the browser on desktop and mobile. The full mode works with your own AI (Mistral or OpenAI key), but the game remains fully playable without one.
On the menu:
- ๐บ๏ธ Living map with zooms, seasons and trade routes
- ๐ฏ Game objectives and remembered dilemmas
- โ๏ธ Animated war fronts, defensive leagues, negotiated peace with clauses
- ๐ Great power motivations, emerging legends, sweeping decrees
- ๐ Full world sharing via code, seed import
- ๐ฒ GM sheet and ghost playtest mode to watch a world run itself
